How it started
Halesowen Town Colts was formerly known as Halesowen Royal British Legion Colts Football Club, formed in 1984/85 with its home ground at Newfield School.
The team was formed by Tim Jones, Bob Watkins, John Edwards, Michael Forrester, Keith Jones, Barry Guest, John Barfoot and Dave Collins, with a few others joining the committee later on.
The teams played in the Stourbridge & District Youth Football League and played in blue home kits, which are still the home colours today.
Early honours
- 1984–85 — Wordsley Carnival 5-a-side runners-up
- 1985–86 — U12 league winners, subsidiary competition winners, league cup finalists
- 1986–87 — U10 league winners, league 5-a-side winners, Express & Star 5-a-side winners; U13 league runners-up, league 5-a-side winners
In 1988/89 Halesowen Town Colts Football Club as it is known today was formed, through an alliance with Halesowen Town Football Club and sponsorship from British Airways. The home pitch was Earls High School, and a few of our teams still play on the same pitch.
The club today
It is an exciting club with many more teams, a central training venue at Leasowes Sports Club, a club training kit for every team, and blue home and volt away kit options.
We are an England Football Accredited 2★ club with teams playing in the Stourbridge & District Youth Football League, Junior Premier League, Mercian League and Midlands Junior Premier League.
We are a grassroots club that wants every child who is interested in football to have FUN.
