Behaviour Improvement Programme 2024-25

What is the Behaviour Improvement Programme

It’s a development programme aimed at supporting those teams who are struggling with poor behaviour. The programme has three elements to it: physical assets, direct support from the County FA and Behaviour Improvement Resources. We know that the majority of teams behave well, but this programme will help us to identify those teams who have poor behaviour and give them the opportunity to make a change, ultimately improving the game for everyone. This programme is underpinned by the Standards of Behaviour and Grassroots codes.

Why is the Behaviour improvement programme needed?

The grassroots game have told us loud and clear that behaviour is getting worse, and have asked us to get tougher on those who are ruining the enjoyment of the game for others. Our own insight and data tell the same story, with 7 in 10 people stating that the poor behaviour is the main cause of dissatisfaction in the game.
